Looking for something to do over the long weekend? The first major event of the summer is finally here! Get up and move this Memorial Day weekend at the Movement Music Festival in Downtown Detroit. The festival takes place from May 27th-May 29th in Hart Plaza and is open to all ages. The festival is bike friendly and offers two sessions of Movement yoga over the weekend to keep festivalgoers limber and relaxed.
The headliners of this year’s festival are drawing a lot of excitement from long term fans of the festival. Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Thundercat, and Juicy J are only a few of the incredible headliners of this year’s festival. If this is your first Movement Festival and you’re worried about buying tickets, you’re in luck, there are still tickets and VIP passes available!
This year’s festival will also feature over 25 artisans, retailers, and record labels on-site for everyone to visit. All fans and attendees are encouraged to explore local artisans and businesses during the weekend. When you aren’t vibing to the amazing music of the festival, fuel up for the rest of the weekend by eating and drinking at the amazing food and beverage options available at the event. Some of the vendors include Andiamo Food Truck, Bear Claw Coffee, Delectable, Slows BBQ, and delicious vegan and vegetarian options.
We can’t wait to see you downtown this weekend! If you have any more questions, you can go over the Movement Music Festival’s FAQ page or contact the festival online. Soak up some sun, scream for your favorite musician, and #LiveTheHype at the Movement Music Festival this weekend.
