There is nothing better than summertime in Detroit...except baseball. Summer baseball with the Detroit Tigers is back in Detroit! At Houze Living, we are excited to start off the new season with a go-to guide to help you navigate Detroit on game day. Briggs Houze is just a short six-minute walk from Comerica Park and all the fun of downtown Detroit.
Pack a day bag that includes sunscreen, bottled water, and any other necessities you think you’ll need for the day, a lot can happen during your short walk over to the ballpark. Along the way to the park, you’ll find Cheli’s Chili Bar and the Centaur Bar, two fan favorite watering holes and places to watch the game if you don’t have tickets.
If you have friends coming in from out of town or outside the city, remind them to get downtown as early as possible. The traffic and parking around the downtown area will get congested about two hours before the game starts, so you’ll want to find a spot early.
Once you get into Comerica Park the real fun begins. The deep-fried Oreos that were a fan favorite of last year have been replaced with a deep-fried Snickers bar. There are a ton of different options for food and drinks around Comerica. There is also a new Chevrolet Pavilion located in left field, which is great for large parties. There is also a touching tribute in the outfield to former team owner Mike Ilitch, who passed away in early February of this year.
Whether you’re looking for apartments near Comerica Park or just the best apartments in Detroit, Houze Living has the perfect living space for you. If someone you know is looking to move to Detroit, share this article with them and #LiveTheHype with us at Houze Living.
